Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that a weak low-pressure system is beginning to impact the sea area around Cyprus. The forecast, which covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, anticipates increased cloud coverage throughout the day and night, with the possibility of local showers and isolated thunderstorms occurring later in the evening.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure recorded at the time of the forecast issuance was 1017 hectopascals. Despite the potential for showers, visibility is expected to remain good, though it may become moderate during periods of rain. The sea surface temperature is currently measured at 24°C, and no weather warnings have been issued for the area.
