Weak Low Pressure Brings Risk of Isolated Showers to Cyprus Coast

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting a period of weak low pressure affecting the region. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with a risk of isolated showers during the day. As night falls, local showers and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated, initially impacting the west and north coasts, before gradually moving towards the south and east coasts.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and indicates that atmospheric pressure at the time of issue was recorded at 1021 hPa. Winds will be measured using the Beaufort scale, and while visibility is generally good, it is expected to become moderate to poor during showers.

The sea surface temperature is reported at 19°C, and currently, there are no warnings issued for the region.
