Weak Low Pressure Brings Calm Seas to Cyprus

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is influencing the region. The forecast predicts mainly fine weather with areas of locally increased cloud coverage. Atmospheric pressure is currently measured at 1013 hectopascals.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility across the area is expected to remain good, with sea surface temperatures holding steady at 24°C. The forecast does not include any weather warnings, suggesting stable conditions for the upcoming period from 1800 on November 5, 2025, to 1800 on November 6, 2025.

The wind conditions will vary across the coasts. On the west coast, winds will shift from northeast to east during the night, transitioning to northeast to southeast by morning, and then south to southwest in the afternoon. The sea state is expected to be smooth to slight throughout the period.

Similarly, the south coast will experience north to northeast winds at night, changing to southeast to south by morning and south to southwest in the afternoon. The east coast will see north to northeast winds shifting southeast to south and then south to southwest by afternoon, with the sea expected to remain slight to smooth.

The north coast will have northeast to southeast winds at night, becoming variable by morning and south to southwest by afternoon, with slight to smooth sea conditions anticipated throughout the forecast period.
