Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, highlighting a weak low-pressure system that is currently affecting the region. The forecast, which covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, is valid from 1200 on 3rd April 2026 until 1200 on 4th April 2026.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure in the area at the time of the forecast's issuance stands at 1013 hPa. The presence of a weak low-pressure system is contributing to increased cloud coverage and dust suspension, leading to poor visibility conditions, with some areas experiencing very poor visibility.
The sea surface temperature in the region is reported to be at 19°C. Despite the challenging conditions, no warnings have been issued for the forecast period. The winds in the area are measured on the Beaufort scale, and all times mentioned in the forecast are local times.
