President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, has said that “we are all obligated to continue together in the effort to find a just and lasting solution to the Cyprus problem, based on UN Security Council resolutions and European principles and values”.
Speaking in a memorial service for the heroes of Choletria community in Paphos, Demetriou noted that “we cannot and are not allowed to be comfortable with the fake normalcy offered by the current anomaly of the division of our homeland”. She added that it’s important to understand the catastrophic consequences that will occur if Cyprus is not liberated and reunited.
