The USS WASP docked on Friday at the port of Limassol, Cyprus, marking its return to the Mediterranean island. The United States Navy multipurpose amphibious assault ship docked previously in Limassol last August.
US Ambassador Julie Fisher welcomed on Friday the ship and its crew with a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter). In her message, Ambassador Fisher stated that “the WASP is in the East Med to deter aggression and support regional stability.”
The USS WASP, anchored at Limassol port for scheduled maintenance work and resupply.
