Unstable Weather Conditions Forecasted for Cyprus’s Sea Areas

Nicosia:An unstable airmass is expected to affect the sea area surrounding Cyprus, with conditions changing over the next 24 hours.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cyprus Department of Meteorology has forecasted increased cloud coverage tonight and into the morning, leading to isolated showers and thunderstorms. In the afternoon, there is a risk of showers, particularly over the southeastern coasts.

Visibility is expected to remain good but may become moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is currently at 26°C, with no specific warnings issued for the area.

For the west coast, winds are anticipated to vary between west to northwest and northwest to northeast, ranging from force 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, with the sea state being smooth to slight. On the south coast, similar wind patterns are expected, with a possibility of the sea state reaching slight conditions at times.

The east coast will experience winds shifting from southwest to northwest, and later to southeast and southwest, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state. The north coast is forecasted to have winds from southwest to northwest, with the sea conditions remaining smooth to slight throughout the period.
