Nicosia:Unstable weather conditions are predicted to affect the sea areas around Cyprus, with low pressure influencing the region from the evening of October 2 to the evening of October 3.
According to Cyprus News Agency, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight and tomorrow morning, particularly over the western and northern parts of the island. By tomorrow evening, these weather patterns are anticipated to extend to the eastern regions as well. In areas experiencing storms, winds may strengthen to 5-6 on the Beaufort scale, accompanied by stronger gusts.
Visibility in the region is generally good but could become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is currently 27°C, with no specific warnings issued. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers from the coast, with varying wind conditions and sea states expected across different coastal areas.
The west coast will see winds shifting from south to southwest at night, moving northeast to southeast near the coast. These will range from 3 to 4 Beaufort, with sea conditions ranging from smooth to slight. The south coast will experience similar wind patterns, mostly settling to slight sea states. The east coast will have southwest to west winds transitioning to south to southwest, while the north coast will see southeast to south winds. Throughout the day, these conditions will vary slightly, affecting local sea states as well.
