Nicosia:An unstable airmass is expected to affect Cyprus, resulting in locally increased cloud coverage and potential isolated showers or thunderstorms over the northern and eastern coastal areas tonight and tomorrow.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus covering an 8-kilometer radius from the coast. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast was recorded at 1014 hPa.
Visibility is generally good but is expected to be moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is currently 26°C, and no warnings have been issued for the area.
The wind conditions for the West Coast are expected to be northwest to north at 3 to 4 Beaufort at night, shifting to northwest to northeast near the coast. In the morning, the winds will change to northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to south to southwest. In the afternoon, winds will be west to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, with the state of the sea ranging from smooth to slight.
For the South Coast, winds will be northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort at night, with the morning seeing a shift to southeast to southwest. In the afternoon, southwest to west winds at 3 to 4 Beaufort are expected, with local variations. The sea state will vary from smooth to slight, with some areas experiencing slight conditions.
