The UN Secretary-General`s Special Representative in Cyprus and head of the UN peacekeeping mission (UNFICYP), Colin Stewart, had separate meetings on Friday with the Ambassadors of France and Italy to the island, Salina Grenet-Catalano and Federica Ferrari Bravo, respectively.
According to posts of the UN Cyprus on Twitter, Stewart welcomed the French Ambassador for a briefing on the UN mission in Cyprus and the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.
Moreover, he welcomed the Italian Ambassador for a briefing on the UN’s efforts to promote peace across the island.
