University of Cyprus Schedules Webinar on Innovation Data for Research and Policy

Nicosia: The University of Cyprus has announced an upcoming online webinar titled ‘Innovation Data for Research and Policy,’ scheduled to take place on 16 December 2025. The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr Nordine Es-Sadki, who serves as an Assistant Professor at UNU-MERIT, Maastricht University. This event is part of the EU-funded project TWIN4MERIT, which focuses on twinning for excellence in the management and economics of research and innovation.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the session will delve into the mechanisms by which innovation spreads within and across different regions. It will particularly emphasize the role of national innovation systems in influencing these processes. Dr Es-Sadki is set to provide an in-depth analysis of several key areas, including the mechanisms of technology transfer, the diffusion channels through which innovations travel and evolve, and the use of innovation data and indicators to study regional and national innovation dynamics. The session will also highlight how such data can inform evidence-based policy decisions at both national and regional levels.

The webinar represents a significant opportunity for researchers, policymakers, and students interested in understanding the dynamics of innovation and its impact on policy-making.
