UNICollaboration Conference 2026 to Focus on Virtual Exchange Innovations

Limassol: UNICollaboration has announced that the UNICollaboration Conference 2026 will be held at the Cyprus University of Technology on 4-5 June 2026. The event, titled ‘Virtual Exchange in a Changing World: Innovation and Inclusion’, aims to explore the evolving role of Virtual Exchange (VE) in education.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the conference is organized in partnership with the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology. It will serve as a platform for academics and professionals to discuss various aspects of VE, including innovative models, intercultural competence, curriculum integration, and institutional strategies. Participants will also delve into topics such as equity and inclusion in VE, the role of VE in internationalization, and the integration of emerging technologies like AI and VR/AR.

Keynote speakers for the conference include Anthony J. Liddicoat from the University of Warwick and Laia Canals from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. The conference will also address VE’s capacity to respond to global crises and promote global citizenship and social responsibility, among other themes.

The call for abstracts is open until 15 November 2025, and interested individuals can submit their proposals via the provided link. The conference promises to be a significant event for those involved in Virtual Exchange and related fields.
