Nicosia: The UN mission in Cyprus issued a warning on Saturday via a post on X, cautioning against any hunting activities within the Buffer Zone. This announcement underscores the importance of maintaining peace and safety in the area, which is under international supervision.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the UN mission emphasized that any aggressive or endangering behavior by hunters towards UN peacekeepers or civilians will be promptly reported. UNPOL, the United Nations Police, will ensure such incidents are conveyed to local authorities to facilitate proper prosecution in line with the law. This measure aims to protect both the peacekeepers and the civilians residing in or near the Buffer Zone.
