Nicosia: The UK has revised its travel guidance for Cyprus, highlighting a new directive that requires Israel-bound flights to be rerouted from Paphos Airport to Larnaca Airport for security reasons.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Foreign Office updated the travel advice on 29 January 2025, and it remains current as of 1 February 2025. The advisory notes that while there is no recent history of terrorism in Cyprus, the possibility of attacks cannot be dismissed, with potential targets including locations frequented by foreign nationals. Despite the changes affecting Israeli flights to Cyprus, UK flights continue to operate without impact from this new directive.
