ANKARA: The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,842.18 points, rising 0.14% or 13.62 points from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 0.80% to 9,828.56 points with a daily transaction volume of 80 billion liras ($2.37 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.5575 as of 9.58 a.m. (0658GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.6896 and the GBP/TRY rate was 42.9716.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,503.55, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $81.89.
