ISTANBUL: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Thursday at 9,953.28 points, up of 0.63% or 62.28 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index was down by 1.38% to 9,891.00 points, with a daily transaction volume of 88 billion Turkish liras ($2.57 billion).
As of 10.00 a.m. (0700GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.1490, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 38.1015, while the GBP/TRY rate was 45.6100.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,663.90, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $71.20 per barrel.
