Already-qualified Trkiye won the EURO 2024 qualifiers group stage by drawing 1-1 with Wales on Tuesday.
Although Neco Williams’ accurate low shot in the seventh minute gave an early lead to hosts Wales at Cardiff City Stadium, they couldn’t manage to stay on top.
Yusuf Yazici’s equalizer from a penalty kick in the 70th minute dashed Wales’ qualifying dreams and paved the way for Trkiye to win Group D with 17 points.
Croatia, which defeated Armenia 1-0 on the same day, sealed the other EURO 2024 spot with 16 points in Group D.
Trkiye will participate in the EURO 2024 draws from pot 2.
