Nicosia: Thunderstorms which have been affecting Cyprus on Tuesday are expected to continue overnight with likely hail and strong winds, the Meteorology Department has said.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a new yellow warning has been issued, valid from 1800 on Tuesday to 0900 on Wednesday. The Department stated that “isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to affect the area.”
The precipitation rate is anticipated to range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour. Additionally, areas experiencing storms may see hail and potentially strong wind gusts.
