Nicosia:The Department of Meteorology in Cyprus has issued a yellow warning for strong thunderstorms, which is valid from 1000 to 1700 on Friday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, isolated heavy thunderstorms are anticipated to affect the island, initially impacting the western half and potentially spreading to other areas later.

During these thunderstorms, hail is expected, and winds are predicted to become variable and strengthen. The precipitation rate could locally surpass 35 millimeters per hour.
