A thunderstorm warning by the Meteorology Department is in effect until 17:00 hours on Sunday. “Isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly the mountains and the east half of the island, while hail is also likely,” the warning said. It added that the “precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 mm per hour.”
