Nicosia: Sunny weather and rising temperatures are forecast until Thursday, with dust in the atmosphere from Tuesday extending into the weekend, according to Meteorology Officer Andreas Chrysanthou. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are anticipated during the weekend.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Chrysanthou mentioned that dust will be present from Tuesday until the weekend, with concentrations increasing from Thursday onwards. The weather is expected to change on Thursday as the region will gradually be affected by low pressure, bringing medium and high clouds as well as stronger winds, particularly in coastal areas.
Chrysanthou highlighted that isolated rain is expected on Friday, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms and winds, especially in coastal regions. These weather conditions are expected to intensify over the weekend.
Regarding temperatures, Chrysanthou indicated that they will rise significantly until Thursday, exceeding the season's average of 21 to 22 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures are projected to reach up to 24 degrees, and between 26 and 28 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday. A drop of 3-4 degrees is expected on Friday.
