Strong Winds and Isolated Showers Expected in Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating the presence of weak low pressure affecting the region. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the report’s issuance was recorded at 1012 hPa. The forecast predicts mainly fine weather in the evening, with an increase in cloud coverage expected locally. Tonight and into tomorrow morning, these clouds may result in isolated showers.

According to Cyprus News Agency, a warning has been issued for strong southwesterly to northwesterly winds, reaching up to force 6 on the Beaufort scale. These winds are anticipated to continue impacting the southern, western, and northern coastal areas. Consequently, the state of the sea is expected to be up to rough. Despite the moderate visibility during showers, the overall visibility is expected to remain good.

The sea surface temperature is recorded at 20°C. Residents and maritime operators are advised to exercise caution due to the strong winds and potential isolated showers in the affected coastal areas.
