Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos held a meeting on Friday with US Ambassador Julie Fisher, with whom he exchanged views on bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them.
During the meeting, that took place in the Ministry, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his duties and assured the continuation of the economic cooperation between the two states.
According to a press release, they exchanged views on bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them. The Minister referred to the very good relations between the two countries and the need to continuously strengthen them for mutual benefit.
In addition, they discussed about the international economic environment and the challenges ahead.
The Minister informed the Ambassador about the state of the Cypriot economy and emphasized the commitment of the new Government to implement an economic policy within the framework of strict fiscal discipline and financial stability, the press release says.
