Nicosia: The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO), in collaboration with Cyprus Comic Con and the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), is hosting the “Space Science Street Festival” today in Nicosia as part of the COSPAR 2025 Global Space Symposium.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the festival, set to begin at 7:00 pm, will be held at Dimarchias Square and the CSEO Space Outreach Centre and will be free for all attendees. The event is a unique opportunity for the public to engage with space science in a lively environment. Attendees will have the chance to meet Hungarian astronaut Gyula Cserenyi from the Hungarian to Orbit (HUNOR) program and interact with influential figures like COSPAR President Pascale Ehrenfreund and CSEO President George Danos.
The festival will also feature experts and rocket scientists from prominent organizations such as NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and the United Launch Alliance. These professionals will be available to answer questions and discuss their work in space exploration.
Additionally, the public can explore a space and science exhibition showcasing elements from the HUNOR astronaut program, celestial art from the Moon Gallery Foundation, and a special miniature exhibit titled ‘From Khirokitia to Mars’, which was displayed at the 2023 Venice Biennale. The event will also include music, food trucks, and a visual fire dance show, offering a dynamic and engaging experience for all attendees.
