Annita Demetriou, House of Representatives President on Tuesday received expats students of the American Hellenic Institute, stressing that the Cypriot society demands reforms and the tackling of challenges associated with various social groups and particularly youth and women,
A House of Representative press release writes that during the meeting, Demetriou criticised Turkish provocations, stressing the need for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem respecting the human rights of all Cypriots.
She also underlined the importance of consolidating peace in Cyprus especially for the future generations so they could prosper in conditions of security and stability.
Furthermore, the House President praised AHI’s substantive work and contribution and of AHIF to the aim of promoting Cyprus and the Cypriots just cause to the United States
