Cluj-napoca: Representatives from four universities involved in the SMART-HEAD project convened at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania for a two-day meeting on June 24-25, 2026. The gathering focused on assessing the project's progress and planning the next phase of development.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting saw participation from Dr. Antonia Christou of the Cyprus University of Technology, alongside colleagues from the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), and the Democritus University of Thrace (Greece). The SMART-HEAD project, an Erasmus+ initiative, aims to integrate sustainability into higher education through digital tools and AI, with the project set to run until 2028.
Discussions at the meeting centered on practical implementation strategies, including refining educational resources, preparing for the piloting phase, and enhancing teaching methodologies. Participants also addressed the challenge of sustaining the project's outcomes beyond the funding period, aiming to ensure a lasting impact on sustainability education.
