Nicosia: With the arrival of the sixth chartered flight for the repatriation of citizens from the United Arab Emirates on Saturday night, a total of 950 people have now arrived in Cyprus. The majority of those repatriated are Cypriots and their family members, along with permanent residents and European citizens, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press release on Sunday that it will continue to provide consular assistance through its Diplomatic Missions to Cypriot citizens affected and currently situated in countries within the region and beyond, with the goal of ensuring their safe return to Cyprus.
The Ministry extended its gratitude to the state services that played a crucial role in the operation, particularly acknowledging the efforts of officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Department of Civil Aviation for their support.
