Silver Medal in 100m Breaststroke for Pelendritou at World Championship in Singapore

Nicosia: Cypriot Paralympian Karolina Pelendritou, after winning the silver medal in the 50m, took second place in the 100m breaststroke at the World Championship in Singapore, bringing her total number of World Championship medals to 15.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the three-time Paralympic champion had an excellent race and, with her best performance this year, 1:21.72, stayed close to Russia’s Daria Lukianenko, who ultimately won the gold, as in the 50m freestyle, with a time of 1:18.25.

China’s Jia Ma, who was second last year at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with Karolina Pelendritou in third place, finished third with a time of 1:25.95.
