Siena:The Cyprus Meteorology Department has issued an orange warning for severe thunderstorms, predicting rainfall intensity to reach between 55 and 70 millimetres per hour.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the warning will be effective from 1900 local time on Wednesday until 0500 on Thursday. A low-pressure system bringing severe thunderstorms is anticipated to impact the region.

During these thunderstorms, variable winds with strong gusts are expected, and there is a possibility of hail.
