Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather with some variations during the night. For a period from 1800 on June 19 until 1800 on June 20, 2025, the meteorological department has outlined specific conditions for an area extending 8 kilometers seawards from the Cyprus coast.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast indicates that a seasonal low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, resulting in mostly fine weather. However, during nighttime hours, there is a possibility of locally increased low cloud coverage and the formation of local mist, which could impact visibility. Despite these conditions, no warnings have been issued for the area.
The current atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s issuance is recorded at 1009 hPa. Visibility is generally expected to remain good, though it may reduce to moderate or poor levels in areas affected by mist. The sea surface temperature is measured at 25°C, indicating relatively warm waters in the region.
