Seasonal Low Pressure Brings Showers and Thunderstorms to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: Seasonal low pressure is set to impact the Cyprus sea area, with convective weather conditions anticipated from the afternoon onwards. According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area extending 8 kilometers seawards, detailing a period of local low cloud and isolated showers overnight and into the early morning hours.

The forecast indicates that local showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop, with winds potentially reaching up to 6 on the Beaufort scale during storms, accompanied by stronger gusts. While visibility is generally expected to be good, it may become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 29°C, and no warnings have been issued at this time. Atmospheric pressure at the time of the report's issuance was 1006 hPa.
