Seasonal Low Pressure Brings Mist and Fog Risk to Cyprus Sea Areas

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast covering the sea area of Cyprus for the 24-hour period from 0600 on July 13, 2025, to 0600 on July 14, 2025. The area in question extends 8 kilometers seawards. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast release was recorded at 1009 hPa.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the region is currently experiencing seasonal low pressure, which is expected to result in generally fine weather. However, there will be periods tonight and during the morning when locally increased low cloud coverage will occur. Mist and the risk of fog patches are anticipated, particularly along the southern and eastern coasts, impacting visibility.

Visibility in the affected areas is generally good but is expected to become moderate to poor in misty conditions and very poor in areas where fog develops. The sea surface temperature in the forecasted area is 27°C, and no warnings have been issued for this period.
