Seasonal Low Pressure and Warm Air Mass Influence Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, covering a region extending 8 kilometers seawards, for the period from 1200 on August 12, 2025, until 1200 on August 13, 2025. The report indicates that the area is currently experiencing a seasonal low pressure and a warm air mass, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the report was recorded at 1008 hPa. Additionally, visibility in the area is expected to remain good, and the sea surface temperature is noted to be 28°C. As per the forecast, no warnings have been issued for the specified period.

Winds in the area are measured using the Beaufort scale, and all times mentioned in the forecast are local. The Cyprus Department of Meteorology continues to monitor the situation, providing updates as necessary to ensure the safety and awareness of those venturing into the sea area.
