Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus for the period between 1800 on August 11, 2025, and 1800 on August 12, 2025. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards from the coast and highlights the influence of a seasonal low pressure system and warm air mass on the region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the weather conditions for the specified period are expected to be mainly fine. However, there is an initial risk of locally increased low cloud coverage, particularly over the western and northern coasts of the island. Despite these clouds, visibility is expected to remain good, and no weather warnings have been issued for the area.
The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s release was recorded at 1005 hPa. The sea surface temperature in the area is noted to be 28°C, indicating warm water conditions. With winds measured on the Beaufort scale, the Department of Meteorology provides localized and precise weather updates to ensure safe navigation and planning for activities in the sea area surrounding Cyprus.
