Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that a seasonal low pressure system and an unstable air mass are currently influencing the region. The forecast, which covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, predicts mainly fine weather conditions with pockets of increased cloudiness. There is a risk of local mist occurring overnight and during the early morning, particularly in the southern and eastern parts of the area.
According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility is expected to be generally good, but may reduce to moderate or poor in areas affected by mist. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1008 hPa. Sea surface temperatures are currently at 29°C, with no significant warnings in effect for the sea area.

On the West Coast, winds are anticipated to range between West to Northwest, with speeds on the Beaufort scale shifting from 3 to 5 throughout the night and into the afternoon. The South Coast will experience winds transitioning from West to Southwest, maintaining a state of the sea from smooth to slight. The East Coast is expected to have winds ranging from South to Southwest, while the North Coast will experience shifts from Southwest to Northwest. Overall, the state of the sea is predicted to remain slight across all regions.
