Revenue from Tourism Records Surges by 21.3% in First Semester 2025

Nicosia: Revenue from tourism recorded is estimated at pound 1,378.1 mn for the period January-June 2025, recording an increase of 21.3%, compared to the same period of 2024 (pound 1,136.4 mn), according to the Statistical Service.

According to Cyprus News Agency, based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached pound 422.3 mn in June 2025, recording an increase of 9.6% as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (pound 385.2 mn).

The average expenditure per person was pound 847.01 in June 2025 compared to pound 798.77 in June 2024, recording an increase of 6%. Tourists from the United Kingdom, who comprised the largest tourist market with 36.4% of the total tourists in June 2025, spent on average pound 103.92 per day. Meanwhile, tourists from Poland, the second largest market during the specific month with 7.3% of the total tourists, spent on average pound 90.91. Tourists from Israel, the third largest market with 6.1%, spent on average pound 149.44 per day.
