Nicosia: Revenue from tourism is estimated at £1,891.1 million for the period of January to July 2025, compared to £1,610.4 million in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 17.4%.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the results of the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service revealed that revenue from tourism reached £513 million in July 2025. This marks an increase of 8.2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, which recorded revenue of £474 million.
The analysis of expenditure shows that the average expenditure per person was £870.78 in July 2025, compared to £859.95 in July 2024, an increase of 1.3%. Tourists from the United Kingdom, which formed the largest tourist market with 32.2% of the total tourists in July 2025, spent on average £100.29 per day. In comparison, tourists from Israel, the second-largest market during this period, constituting 13% of the total tourists, spent an average of £151.10 per day.
Additionally, tourists from Poland, the third-largest market with 7.4% of the total tourists, spent an average of £90.23 per day. The increase in tourism revenue highlights the growing attraction and economic impact of tourism in the region.
