Research Minister tells EU counterparts of need for common approach to cyber security

Cyprus Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Kyriacos Kokkinos focused on the need for a common approach to cyber security and reliability, as well as the importance of skills development and transnational cooperation, during the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Telecommunications, which was held in France on March 8th-9th.

Ministers discussed the need to build a strong European cybersecurity ecosystem to ensure the protection and resilience of electronic communications networks and infrastructures, as well as the readiness for a collective and effective response to large-scale cyber-attacks, which will support the development and exploitation of innovative solutions and technologies, a Deputy Ministry press release says.
