Expanding cooperation between Cyprus, Greece, Israel and the USA in a wide range of fields such as energy, innovation, green growth and investment was the main subject of discussions at the Economist Business Conference called “Investing in Peace, Stability and Pluralistic development”, which took place in New York.

Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Kyriacos Kokkinos, who participated in a panel for innovation and technology, highlighted the importance of these two interrelated sectors for the recovery of the economy and the benefit that will result from collaborations in regional and international level with countries that have a common vision such as Greece, Cyprus, Israel and the USA.

Kokkinos stressed the effort to expand and strengthen the development model of Cyprus, with an emphasis on digital transformation, innovation and extroversion. He added that the government is committed to the continuous improvement of the country’s business environment, with the aim of establishing it as a center of entrepreneurship and technology in the region.

“By investing in our human capital, simplifying processes and expanding the availability of digital tools and services, building secure and modern digital infrastructure and providing incentives to businesses and professionals, we strengthen our country’s potential and ability to play a leading role in global change,” Kokkinos noted.
