Research and Innovation Foundation Launches Consultation on New Funding Rules

Nicosia: The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) has announced the initiation of a consultation process concerning the new Rules for Participation in its funding Programmes. These rules are set to be implemented within the RIF's new Grants Management System, anticipated to become operational in 2027.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the impending changes include the adoption of lump sum payments, standardized unit cost scales for personnel, the involvement of Affiliated Entities in funded projects, and the introduction of a Project Manager role for projects with funding surpassing £150,000. The RIF is actively seeking input from interested entities, who are encouraged to submit comments and suggestions exclusively through a dedicated online questionnaire by 18 March 2026, at 13:00. Submissions can be made in both Greek and English.
