Limassol: Approximately 1,400 Israelis were scheduled to board the Crown Iris cruise ship today, Monday, which docked for the third time at the port of Limassol. This is part of the Israeli operation “Safe Return,” assisting Israelis stranded abroad to return home.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the cruise ship transported about 150 foreign nationals from Israel who were unable to leave the country. These individuals are expected to travel by air to their home countries via Cyprus.
Due to the ongoing situation in the region following US bombings in Iran, security measures at the DP World Limassol passenger terminal remain heightened.
The Crown Iris is expected to depart on Monday afternoon for the port of Ashdod and will return to the port of Limassol on Thursday and Saturday.
