Paris Saint-Germain on Friday announced that goalkeeper Sergio Rico was discharged from hospital.
The 29-year-old player had been hospitalized since May 28 due to a head injury after falling from a horse during his pilgrimage of El Rocio in Huelva city, southwestern Spain.
“I’m feeling pretty good,” Rico said. “I need to take it easy for a few more months and continue to recover at home. Everything is under control and we have to follow the doctors’ instructions, which is the most important thing.”
Rico helped Sevilla win three UEFA Europa League titles from 2014 to 2016 before moving to PSG.
He won three French Ligue 1 titles with Paris in 2020, 2022, and 2023, as well as two French Cups in 2020 and 2021.
