Professor Constantinos Leonidou Appointed Vice-Rector of Open University of Cyprus

Nicosia: Professor Constantinos Leonidou has been elected to serve as the Vice-Rector of the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) for a four-year term.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the appointment took place on December 2, 2005, marking a new leadership chapter for the university.

Professor Leonidou is a distinguished academic in the field of Marketing and Business Administration, currently teaching at the Faculty of Economics and Management at OUC. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Leeds, an MBA from Cardiff University, and a BA in Business Administration from Middlesex University. His research and teaching are centered around corporate sustainability, business ethics, international marketing, and several other key areas in the business domain.

His scholarly work is well-recognized, with publications in prominent international academic journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of Business Ethics. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Research and is involved with the editorial boards of several other prestigious journals. Beyond his editorial contributions, Professor Leonidou holds elected positions within the OUC Senate and Council, and is part of the Board of Directors of the CYENS Centre of Excellence and the Global Marketing Special Interest Group.

Professor Leonidou takes over the Vice-Rector role from Professor Vaios Liapis, whose term was noted for its success and productivity. The academic community at OUC has expressed their gratitude for Professor Liapis’s contributions during his tenure.
