Price Index of Construction Materials Rises in October 2025

Nicosia: Construction materials prices experienced an increase in October on an annual basis, as well as over the first ten months of the year, according to data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Tuesday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Price Index of Construction Materials for October 2025 reached 119.03 units, using 2021 as the base year with an index of 100. This marks an increase of 1.58% compared to the same month in the previous year.

The data highlighted specific commodity categories with notable changes. Increases were recorded in minerals by 4.03%, mineral products by 3.30%, electromechanical products by 1.57%, and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics by 1.04%. Conversely, metallic products saw a decrease of 0.86%.

The report also noted a marginal month-to-month increase of 0.06%. For the period from January to October 2025, the index showed an overall increase of 1.29% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, as reported by CyStat.
