The President of Slovenia Borut Pahor will pay an official visit to Cyprus on Tuesday 8 March and will meet with President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to further deepen cooperation between the two countries, as well as the Cyprus issue. There will also be an exchange of views on the role that small EU member states can play for the future of Europe.
As announced by the Director of the President`s Press Office, Andreas Iosif, President Anastasiades will inform his Slovenian counterpart on Turkey`s provocative actions in the region, his efforts to resume the negotiation process, the Confidence Building Measures he has proposed and the efforts of the Republic of Cyprus to defend international law and its initiatives to this end.
