Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides conveyed on Thursday to Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis the sincere condolences of the Government and the Cypriot people after the tragic train accident in Greece that resulted in the death of dozens of people.
According to a Presidency statement, in a telephone conversation between the two, President Christodoulides reiterated the readiness of the Republic of Cyprus to assist in any way requested in dealing with the tragedy.
It is added that for his part, Mitsotakis thanked President Christodoulides and informed him of the situation as it evolves, as well as about the progress of the investigations in relation to the two Cypriot citizens who were on board the passenger train and who are still missing.
