President Christodoulides’ Historic Visit to Moldova Highlights Bilateral Relations

Nicosia: President Nikos Christodoulides is undertaking the first official visit by a Cypriot President to Moldova, marking a significant step in the diplomatic relations between the two countries. According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides is scheduled to depart at midday for Chi?inau, where he will meet with Moldovan President Maia Sandu at the Presidential Palace. The discussions will cover key topics such as the bilateral relations between Cyprus and Moldova, Moldova's aspirations to join the European Union, regional developments, and the ongoing Cyprus issue. Following their meeting, both Presidents will address the media and later attend a diplomatic dinner. As part of the visit's cultural engagements, President Christodoulides will join President Sandu at a concert in Chi?inau's central square, commemorating Europe Day. Before the concert begins, the Presidents will deliver brief speeches. Accompanying President Christodoulides are Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna , the Director of the President's Press Office, and other government officials. The President is expected to return to Cyprus late on Saturday.
