President Christodoulides Engages in EPP Congress Activities in Valencia

Valencia: The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is actively participating in the European People’s Party (EPP) Congress, which commenced in Valencia, Spain, on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Viktoras Papadopoulos, President Christodoulides arrived at the Congress venue in the afternoon, where he exercised his right to vote for the election of the EPP President.

He stated that the President would later attend the Congress proceedings, which include speeches by several EPP member state leaders and heads of European institutions. Additionally, President Christodoulides is scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by the EPP for heads of state, government, and leaders of political parties affiliated with the European People’s Party.

He further noted that tomorrow, April 30, the President will participate in the election of Vice-Presidents and will deliver an address at the EPP Congress. President Christodoulides is accompanied in Valencia by the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, the Director of the President’s Press Office, and other officials. He is expected to return to Cyprus late tomorrow afternoon, Papadopoulos concluded.
