Nicosia: President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, has announced the completion of the High-Level Meetings Calendar for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU. He emphasized that this marks an important milestone in the preparation for Cyprus’s leadership role within the European Union.
According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides stated that the calendar for the 2026 Cyprus Presidency has been finalized, highlighting its significance in the preparatory phase for assuming the presidency. From January to June 2026, Cyprus will lead the Council of the European Union, with a commitment to act as an impartial mediator for the benefit of all European citizens.
President Christodoulides extended his gratitude to Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Ra?una, and the staff of the Secretariat of the Cyprus Presidency. He also acknowledged the efforts of all Ministries, Deputy Ministries, and the Permanent Representation of Cyprus at the EU in Brussels for their dedicated work and commitment to this national mission.
