Nicosia: President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced the government’s political decision to proceed with the construction of a new, modern hospital in Polis Chrysochous, located in the Paphos district. The announcement was made on Friday during the inauguration of three development projects in the municipality.
According to Cyprus News Agency, preparations for the hospital construction have already begun, and necessary studies will be conducted soon to realize the project. President Christodoulides highlighted that the hospital is a long-overdue infrastructure project and an obligation of the state to the region and its residents.
The President emphasized the government’s vision and strategy for the holistic development and support of Polis Chrysochous and the wider region, including the Tylliria area, through significant projects aimed at benefiting local residents.
During the event, President Christodoulides also inaugurated three recently completed projects in the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous, which further enhance the development prospects of the area. These projects include the ‘Multifunctional Center for Sea and Culture’ in Latchi, an Exhibition Space for Reptiles and Amphibians in Neo Chorio, and the redevelopment of the open space in front of the Town Hall and the old Police Station in Polis Chrysochous.
